Karen Mills;
Creating a Neuroinclusive World with Ap Cymru

Karen’s youngest son was diagnosed as autistic just before his second birthday in 2008. She founded AP Cymru – The Neurodiversity Charity a few months later. In 2010 her eldest son was diagnosed as autistic and then Karen was diagnosed herself in 2018, aged 43! The charity now directly supports over 1400 neurodivergent children and young people; is a leading training provider across Wales and is hugely proud to have created a workplace which is the model used to showcase the importantance of creating a neuroinclusive world.
